JHP Training has recently received the accreditation from the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI), following an extensive two week examination and assessment process which would see them being placed at the head of the pecking order; only a handful of providers who operate nationally have achieved similar.

And exclusively for FE News, Hugh Pitman, Chairman of JHP, explained the process: "JHP Training's Coventry based Head Office and most English and Welsh training centres were visited by 19 inspectors from the ALI with 52 separate inspector visits made. There were 123 inspection days in total.

"173 site visits were made to Apprentices/NVQ/work placement learners, with 272 of our learners interviewed across these sites. 271 learner files and Individual Learning Plans were viewed during the inspection.

"Of the employers that JHP Training works with across England and Wales, 127 were interviewed by the inspection team".

Mr Pitman continued, detailing the efforts and achievements of JHP: "Over the last four years "“ since our very satisfactory 2002 ALI inspection "“ we in JHP Group have been striving for a really excellent ALI result, which we have now achieved.

"We have appreciated the vital necessity of ensuring that the 12,000 young people and adults entering our many programmes each year have the best possible opportunities to progress their own personal objectives. Our excellent retention and achievement rates, which continue to improve month on month, bear testimony to the professionalism and effectiveness of our staff of 500 dedicated and caring people, working with their local communities from business colleges in 40 towns and cities, throughout the United Kingdom".

The foundation, now in their 23rd year, look set to continue delivering at a new standard and have, to date, enabled over 300,000 people to gain qualifications. With over 40 business centres throughout England, Scotland and Wales, they are looking forward to dispensing Grade 2 quality training across their many sectors of expertise.

And building on this, Mr Pitman added: "We now intend to continue to grow the company and build on our excellent reputation in work-based learning to give the maximum number of people opportunities to learn and gain relevant and valuable qualifications which will vastly help them with their employment and with their future careers".
