AoC Roundup
Martin Doel, chief executive of the Association of Colleges, gives us a roundup and overview of their 2011 annual conference.

Click on the video below to hear Martin give a summary of the major announcements from the conference:

We caught up with Martin earlier in the conference to discuss the future of Apprenticeships. Martin shared his views on 'Re-thinking Apprenticeships', a collection of essays about Apprenticeships to stimulate debate about their future. Martin discusses the German 'Meister' Apprenticeship model as an idea for Level 3 Apprenticeships and beyond.

He explains that this system provides an interesting example for Apprenticeships up to Masters level, adding that it could transform HE training in the work place.
