The National Skills Academy for Financial Services (NSAFS) has joined forces with Prudential to bring the insurer's skills training packages to the wider financial sector.

The partnership enables employers to purchase new online learning courses for their staff through the Skills Academy's LINK online portal.

Sylvia Perrins, CEO of the NSAFS, said: "The quality of the training material combined with the flexibility of an online resource will be beneficial for many financial services companies wanting to up skill their staff.

"These are tried and tested products, created by Prudential plc, and we are pleased to offer them to a wider audience, meet skills need and build professional within the industry."

The courses offered through the partnership include introductory programmes on topics including savings and investment products, professional development courses and tools to help business development.

Commenting on the partnership, Mark Nobbs, Prudential's head of learning and development, said: "We place great importance on developing colleagues at Prudential and have many years of experience creating high quality learning."

"Through our association with the National Skills Academy for Financial Services, we are very happy to be able to share our learning content with a wider audience. We are keen to support the development of students of the National Skills Academies and indeed people who are already working in the financial services sector."
