Isabel Sutcliffe at Federation of Awading Bodies annual conference

isabel-sutcliffe-video1.jpg
Isabel Sutcliffe joined Edexcel in October 2006 as its Qualifications and Accreditation director following a long career with NCFE. She joined NCFE to head up its assessment and accreditation work when it was still a Regional Advisory Council and made a significant contribution to its current status as a successful national awarding body, serving as its chief executive from 2001 to 2006. Prior to her joining NCFE, Isabel worked for one of the many predecessor bodies now comprising AQA; hence she has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of both vocational and non-vocational qualifications.
Isabel was appointed as the interim chair of FAB in October 2008 and is also chair
of FABs Regulatory Issues Special Interest Group (formally Credit and Framework
Strategic Working Group).
Together with her FAB director colleagues, Isabel continues to work strenuously to raise the profile of the awarding sector and the positive contribution it can make to ensuring the countrys qualifications systems really do meet the needs of learners, employers and centres alike.
