From education to employment

Nottingham schools and businesses learn from Nashville

Nottingham’s secondary schools and businesses had a unique opportunity last week to hear how education has been transformed in Nashville, US.

Nashville’s public high schools used to be close to the bottom of US league tables, but they have been able to bounce back after moves to link the classroom curriculum with the world of work.

Nottingham’s educators, business and council leaders were invited to an event on 15 May to hear from the architects of this system at The Bulwell Academy, with the backing of independent learning foundation Edge.
