A National Training Award was recently presented to AgeCare Awards for its work with the elderly, while ITS Training UK received a Regional Award for its work with local authorities.

Both training companies use Edexcel’s customised frameworks. “[The framework] has been very successful for us and is proving popular with many other homes too,” says Penny Dudman, AgeCare Awards Manager. AgeCare Awards uses the framework to develop tailormade qualifications for people caring for the elderly. AgeCare has four care homes, whose staff undertake training at Levels 2 and 3.

Mike Neumann, Managing Director at ITS Training UK commented that “the training we offer and Edexcel’s assessment processes are very practical. The customized framework allows us to offer our clients a suite of qualification accredited by the most respected awarding body in the country.” ITS Training offer training courses to approximately 360 local authorities and won the Regional Training Award for its three BTEC courses.

Offering his congratulations, Dennis Jones, BTEC Regional Development Manager said, “it’s a great achievement for AgeCare Awards and ITS Training UK to be recognized in this way. I’m delighted that Edexcel’s customized BTEC framework is proving successful for them.”
