BIG YELLOW SELF STORAGE LAUNCHES SEARCH FOR THE NEXT SOCIAL MEDIA GURU |

 From April 27 2009, Big Yellow Self Storage will be running a competition to offer social media’s rising stars the chance to win a one month paid internship with the company, which recently was listed in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For. The position will offer invaluable experience working with the online communications team on the launch of a highly classified campaign this summer.
Big Yellow has helped out students for many years as a solution for all their storage needs and as well as this great internship opportunity, is offering students 25% off from May to June. Check out the Big Yellow website for more details.
Those entering the search will be taking part in the world’s first ‘speed-video job interview’, for which Big Yellow has teamed up with video microblogging specialists 12seconds.tv. The right candidate should be able to sell themselves via an online interview that lasts no longer than 12 seconds.
The search is open to PR, marketing and new media undergraduates and new graduates but is also open to submissions from anyone else who fancies a go providing they’re over the age of 18 and are eligible to work in the UK.
How to enter
Candidates ready to rise to the challenge and enter the limelight need to speed over to 12seconds.tv and upload their video interview in five easy steps designed to test the entrant’s social media prowess.
1. Register an account on 12seconds.tv/campaign/bigyellowselfstorage
2. Link your Twitter account to your 12 seconds account
3. Record your video 12 second video on a mobile phone, video camera or webcam and upload your video at 12seconds.tv/campaign/bigyellowselfstorage
4. Fill in the ‘submit my CV’ from and attach a recent copy of your CV
The closing date for entries is May 30th 2009. The winner will be announced on June 15th 2009.
