HowToMoodle launches Moodle 1.9 manual Print E-mail
Wednesday, 01 July 2009 14:58

Specialist training and consultancy firm, HowToMoodle, has launched a new manual, the Course Creator Reference Manual for Moodle 1.9. The 264 page manual is available as an ebook or hard copy from www.howtomoodle.com and is selling across the world from England to Australia. It is estimated that there are over 24 million users from over 36,000 sites globally using the open source course management system, Moode.

Author of the manuals and director of HowToMoodle, Ray Lawrence, is also an experienced trainer, consultant and speaker. Ray Lawrence says, "We originally distributed the manuals to our clients to support our training and consultancy engagements. When Martin Dougiamas, founder and lead developer of Moodle, saw a copy on a visit to our office he was astounded by the level of detail included and suggested that we should market them more widely. Moodle users around the world have taken advantage of the ebook format, well over 50% of ebook sales are outside the UK."

Andy Perkins, Sqn Ldr, JSCSC, Defence Academy, Shrivenham, says, "Clearly structured, labelled and written and highly informative for anyone creating or developing a Moodle application. An invaluable reference tool in their own right, and a fantastic aide memoire that complements How To Moodle's excellent practical training workshops. A treasure trove of advice and help - we'd be lost without them."

* Resources: Label, text page, web page, display a directory, link to file or website.
