BTEC students from the Business & IT Faculty have recently participated in an international project funded by the EU under the ERASMUS+ programme. The project aims to develop innovative methods for teaching Data Analytics within schools and colleges throughout the EU and is led by Exeter University.
Exeter College has held its annual awards celebrating exceptional apprentices and honouring the employers that go above and beyond to encourage these individuals. More than 180 apprentices, employers, key business leaders, friends and family attended the glittering awards ceremony held at Sandy Park.
Exeter College has welcomed the Microsoft Education Team for a free one-day roadshow to inspire students, teachers, senior leaders and those in education in how technology can transform the learning experience. The full day event, held on Tuesday, February 5th 2019, hosted by Exeter College, featured a variety of talks, workshops and demonstrations. The event highlighted how embedding technology into the learning experience can help students attain new skills, give teachers more time to focus on the things that matter most and reduce costs. There were more than 100 attendees at the event, including primary school children from local schools.
Co-cars, the South West’s hire-by-the-hour car club, and Exeter College, the city’s multi-award winning further education college, have announced an innovative new partnership to give Exeter-based college staff access to their own dedicated Co-car. Starting from February 2019, a brand new Toyota Yaris Hybrid will be available at the college’s Hele Road campus for staff to hire-by-the-hour. Whilst many businesses already take advantage of Co-cars’ network of great value, low emission cars, this is the first time an organisation has had a car exclusively allocated for their use.
