Prospective Students Urged to focus on their Future

Open invitation to @S_ERC’s Virtual Full-Time Open Days  South Eastern Regional College (SERC) is online and open for business and that includes welcoming hundreds of prospective students and their parents to their virtual open days full-time courses starting in September at Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards campuses. Open days will take the format of webinars from 10am - 4pm, on Wednesday 27 May until Thursday 4 June, with dedicated teams online ready to meet those progressing to Higher Education, Further Education, Apprenticeships and Training programmes.

Making and Baking for the Community

@S_ERC (SERC) has recently secured a £1000 grant from Food for Life Get Togethers which is run by the Soil Association and funded through the Community Fund to help with the emergency response for those struggling for food during the COVID-19 pandemic.   Teams from SERC’s Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Hospitality and Catering and student company Golden Memories are working to help meet some needs in the local community. The funding will be used to purchase ingredients to make nutritious meals for vulnerable people during this crisis which will be prepared in the College’s training kitchens by catering lecturers and support staff. 

Spanish Students Regroup Online with Lecturer Declan

It was certainly a case of “Bienvenidos”, rather than “Hasta la Vista” for Level 4 Spanish students from Downpatrick Campus who got more than they bargained for as @S_ERC moved online.

The Water Boys find themselves on Crest of the Wave

A group of @S_ERC applied science students are finalists in the Eco-UNESCO Young Environmentalist Award where they are also up for the public vote People’s Choice Award and have reached the semi-finals of the Catalyst Inc Invent Programme 2020.
