Students on the Foundation Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management picked up some in-house experience when they were part of the showcase team for the College’s Taking Hospitality to New Heights inaugural meeting. Working with students form a range of culinary courses, the Foundation Degree students ensured front of house was welcoming and efficient.

Road Safety Talk Drives Home the Dangers

Members of our emergency services recently visited @S_ERC for a demonstration and talk about road safety. Police Service of Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service emphasised road safety to students from the College and local secondary schools.

Culinary Skills Served Up for Food Demonstration and Competition Day

Well done to all the students who took part in the Food Demonstration Day and Competition Showcase organised by South Eastern Regional College (SERC) in partnership with Ards and North Down Borough Council. This year’s event saw more than 60 students take part in cooking and baking challenges.

SERC Students Join Global Response for Australian Wildlife

Students from one of SERC’s Access to University courses recently began using their tutorial time to create upcycled products in a bid to help Australian wildlife, such as koalas, wallabies, bush babies, bats, possums and some lizards following the recent bush fires.
