BBC Apprentice partners with leading training provider will produce insightful educational and professional podcast – The Right Route

Well-loved BBC Apprentice and motivational speaker, Kayode Damali talks hot education and work topics in The Right Route podcast series.

Collaborating with national training provider Qube Learning, the inspiring content will help those looking to take the right steps into learning and the professional side of life.

The first podcast highlights Kayode’s own personal journey on wanting to be a footballer.

How he went to school an hour and half before the bell rung to play a match with friends but on turning sixteen realising that his dream of becoming a footballer was not to be.

His candid approach to education and work highlights that people don’t have to follow the ‘norm’ and believes “one of the biggest skills you can have is being able to communicate with people from all over the world”.

Offering insightful and first-hand advice, the episodes subjects include:

Guest appearances from Qube Learning Trainees and Apprentices exposing their very real stories about not passing exams, what routes they took and advice they would give other people underlines that there can be hurdles to overcome and it takes drive and commitment to see a positive change.

Though people may have first seen Kayode Damali on BBC The Apprentice, where his performance there won him the “Favourite Reality TV Star” at the 14th Annual Screen Nation Film and Television Awards at The May Fair Hotel, London, The Apprentice was actually not his first rodeo! He has previously been described as the “Smoothest Talker on TV” after appearing with Victoria Derbyshire, he enjoyed an earful being yelled at by Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain, and he has also been on Channel 4 demonstrating his questionable cooking on Come Dine With

Kayode was elected Vice President and Governor of his university and on a national scale, he was elected a Director of the National Union of Students (NUS) before embarking on his career as an Entrepreneur, where he has been listed in the Top 10 of the “Most Powerful Young Entrepreneurs in the World”.
