The Apprenticeship Levy will soon be in place and will require all UK employers to fund new apprenticeships. The levy which will be introduced in April 2017, is designed to encourage new apprenticeships and will support quality training by placing the control of apprenticeship funding into the hands of employers.
Big businesses with an annual paybill in excess of £3 million will be charged a rate of 0.5% and each employer will receive an allowance of £15,000 to offset against their levy payment.
The change in Apprenticeship funding is understandably confusing and to help clear things up, Havering College is hosting an event in partnership with City & Guilds to discuss the upcoming changes, how it affects you, your recruitment process and the financial implications moving forward.
This is a free event but you will need a ticket. To book your place or to find out more visit /www.havering-college.ac.uk/big-business-apprenticeship-levy-event.html
@ipryce I’ve not known them for 30 years .... but I now a lot more about classical music and most of those composers are dead!
