Getting the best attitude from apprenticeships

Getting the best attitude from apprenticeships

  • Overview

The most important factor employers look for in recruits is attitude, which ranks ahead even of literacy and numeracy according to the CBI Annual survey of employer 2015. Mental Toughness describes the mind-set or ‘attitude’ that every person adopts in everything they do. It is very well evidenced both as a concept and as a reliable and practical approach for practitioners – including the ability to assess it and to evaluate change. Research shows mental toughness impacts on performance, wellbeing, aspirations and behaviour, making it the key element to focus on in personal development.
