Achieving ‘Good or Better’ in an Ofsted Inspections – A specialist Inspector Led event for Universities
February 10 @ 4:00 am - March 18 @ 4:00 pm
As a result of the 2018 Augar review, Ofsted’s remit for inspecting apprenticeship provision was extended to include level 6 and level 7 apprenticeships in April 2021.
This 24-hour development programme will be led by experienced, practising inspectors, with first-hand knowledge of working with universities. It will guide delegates from HEIs involved in the work-based learning sector in ensuring, and evidencing, highly-effective learning provision building particularly on those areas identified in early reports, as well as our own findings.
Getting behind what really drives Ofsted.
The four sessions will address all of the EIF criteria on which inspectors make judgements and explore the ‘deep-dive’ arrangements on which inspections are planned.
Delegates will review the research on which the EIF has been based and, as a result, be able to demonstrate how their various curricula have been designed (the intent); how these curricula are being implemented (through discussions and interviews, work scrutiny and observations of learning and development activities); and finally, how learners’ knowledge and skills development are a crucial focus in evaluating the impact of the curriculum.
The role of the inspection Nominee pre, during and post-inspection will also feature in workshop discussions.
