Neurodiversity Navigators: Tips for Inclusive Success Sponsored by Cognassist
Overview
Neurodiversity is a hot topic in many forums, spend a few minutes on social media and it’s clear there is a rising discussion. The expectation to meet the needs of those with differing Neurotypes is enshrined in the Equality Act 2010 and the SEND Code of Practice.
But with increasing time and budget pressures, how can we address the needs of an increasingly neuro-aware population? Should we be paying attention? Can we successfully build a neuroinclusive culture and keep to our budgets? This webinar is designed as an introduction to addressing this, to growing the understanding of current research-led good practice in Neurodiversity and perhaps picking up a few simple, cost-effective “hacks” along the way.
Objectives
This webinar will help delegates to:
- Gain a clear understanding of the background to Neurodiversity and why the language around it is important;
- Develop an awareness of current research that challenges common stereotypes around differing neurotypes;
- Consider how person-centred, strength-based practice can strengthen your record keeping and onboarding processes, to increase disclosure;
- Gain insight into simple changes that offer support and build a wider culture of neuro-inclusivity.
