Study Programmes Part 3 – Planning for provision to support SEND young people in SPs
February 17 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Study Programmes often attract a diverse range of young people, many who may have additional support and learning needs.
Understanding how best to plan provision to support a wide range of learners’ needs and how to access additional support funding will ensure that you can deliver the best service for young people.
This session is not intended to focus on teaching and learning strategies in the classroom. It will offer an overview of the planning considerations required to offer effective learning support, plan an inclusive curriculum offer and source additional funding for High Needs Learners.
The session is aimed for providers who offer Study Programmes but who are new to SEND provision and do not yet have a fully developed SEND support strategy in place.
This webinar will:
Give an overview of working with young people with SEND on 16-19 Study Programmes
Provide statutory support requirements in a teaching and learning environment
Explain the main functions of an Education, Health and Care Plan and how they work in past-16 education
Discuss planning to meet a wide range of learner needs
Review the High Needs funding system and how to access funding to support your learners
Who should attend this webinar
This sessions is designed for training providers who are offering 16-19 Study Programmes but do not yet have a full SEND or High Needs strategy in place.
