Supporting Learning through Effective Employer Mentoring and Coaching

Overview

This webinar will include ideas, hints and tips to build confidence in providers to be able to support and encourage employer staff to effectively mentor and/or coach their apprentices or trainees to enhance the learning experience.

We will outline the principles and benefits of developing employer staff to become better mentors to their apprentices, trainees or students, provide structures and processes to underpin effective mentoring and signpost to additional resources.

This webinar will examine a number of themes, including:

• The benefits of coaching and mentoring to support learning
• The essential skills of the mentor/coach
• Ways of encouraging the employer to support the learning journey through upskilling their supervisors
• Hints and tips for making the most of the mentoring relationship
• Signpost to additional resources and support.
