SUMMARY:Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
DESCRIPTION:This Level 4 teaching qualification is designed to develop delegates practical teaching\nskills helping them to become effective teachers in a range of Post-16 contexts.\nWe anticipate that delegates will already be working in post-16 education as a teacher/\ntrainer/ assessor or coach. Delegates may have a strong vocational background and may\nhave moved into teaching as a secondary career.\n\nThrough participation in this important strand of the Solvendis Teaching Excellence\nprogramme you will complete a range of modules to help you develop and craft your\nteaching and training skills.\n\nDelivery will be led by Craig Busby (Director of Teaching and Learning) with all workshops\nbeing conducted online via Teams or Zoom.\n\nThe core content will include an extensive programme of workshops which focus on\ngiving participants the skills and knowledge needed to drive improvements in teaching\nand learning practice across an organisation.\n\nThere will be 9 Workshops (all 10.00—4.00) which will be held on Wednesdays. The topics to be covered and workshop dates are:\n\nWorkshop 1 – 17/09/2025 Introduction to learning\nWorkshop 2 – 24/09/2025 Planning to meet individual learner needs\nWorkshop 3 – 08/10/2025 Delivering education and training (Pt 1)\nWorkshop 4 – 15/10/2025 Delivering education and training (Pt 2)\nWorkshop 5 – 22/10/2025 Progress checking and showcasing\nWorkshop 6 – 05/11/2025 Assessment in learning\nWorkshop 7 – 12/11/2025 Learning resources\nWorkshop 8 – 03/12/2025 Inclusive practice (Pt 1)\nWorkshop 9 – 10/12/2025 Inclusive practice (Pt 2)\n\nIn addition to workshop attendance\, delegates will undertake a short pre-course activity\,\nindependent research\, complete assignments and be observed on at least 3 occasions\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Everyone involved in apprenticeship delivery should understand the fundamentals of apprenticeship compliance.\n\nWhether you’re involved in training\, curriculum design\, quality assurance\, employer engagement or administration – understanding what ESFA compliance means for your role is crucial in helping the organisation to draw down the right funding and mitigate risks.\n\nDesigned around the latest version of the funding rules and updated in-year\, this three-part series is designed to introduce all apprenticeship staff to the core apprenticeship rules and where their role fits in the compliance journey.\n\nPart 1 will look at the typical apprentice journey\, the core rules that matter and common solutions seen\, including the importance of the little details and core parts of the evidence pack.\n\nPart 2 will look at common errors and build an understanding of risk awareness as part of a transparent compliance culture.\n\nPart 3 will open the floor to core questions and discussions of best practice.\n\nYou will receive a CPD attendance certificate after the series\, as evidence of your personal development.\n\nThis series\, led by David Lockhart-Hawkins\, will help you to:\n\n 	Understand the core compliance rules for Apprenticeships\n 	Understand how they fit into the typical apprentice journey\n 	Know how funding works and what this means for your role\n 	Keep an eye out for common errors\n 	How to mitigate funding risks\n\nParticipants will also receive a useful workbook that highlights the key areas of the learning journey.\n\nThis series takes place on Monday 6 October (2-3.30pm)\, Wednesday 8 October (2-3.30pm) and Thursday 9 October (2-3.30pm).\n\nIf there are any dates/times where you aren’t available\, register anyway and we’ll send you the recording and slides.\n\nBooking Information\n\nTo enable your organisation to make the most of the training we have set the following price structure:\n\nSingle ticket: £195 + VAT\n\nGroup ticket: £395 + VAT\n\nDo you have a team who would all benefit from attending?
