Newham College LGBT Committee organised a breakfast event to raise awareness of the work they do to tackle homophobia and create equality within the organisation and local area. The event was headed by Head of LGBT charity, Stonewall, Ruth Hunt and Newham Councillor, Rachel Tripp and took place exactly 4 months since the College was ranked 72 in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, (WEI) 2017.

College triumph as new Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers is revealed.

Newham College of Further Education has been approved as a member of the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. From April 2017, all employers with a wage bill of £3m or more will pay into levy which can only be used to support training with approved providers. This means that the College can now deliver apprenticeship training for employers subject to the levy. This good news followed the successful Apprenticeships Awards held by Newham College last week.
