David Hughes, chief executive of the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE), chats today (13 Mar 2015) about his alliance with the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion (CESI) and the potential to formalise the partnership into a merger later in the year.
The partnership will help bring systems for unemployed people and skills closer together, according to Hughes.
“What we want to see really simply is the people who are unemployed getting a proper diagnosis of what their skills needs are,” he says.
