PPDG sold to Australia’s APM

Australian human services firm APM has acquired Birmingham-based employment specialist PPDG to expand its presence in the UK.

PPDG (Pertemps People Development Group) employs 600 people and is a prime contractor for the government’s Work Programme.

It was founded in 1997 and claims to have helped more than 105,000 long-term unemployed job seekers into work.

APM provides services ranging from delivering employment to community care in more than 300 sites across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Bob Leach, chairman of APM’s UK division, said: “PPDG is a well respected brand within our sector and therefore, the acquisition of PPDG enhances APM’s capacity to assist our customers with overcoming challenges which exist in the marketplace in the UK.”
