Our Presenters:

Helen Armitage – A Senior Employability Adviser for the College of Social Sciences and Arts at Sheffield Hallam University. Helen leads on the Hallam Career Mentoring Scheme and primarily supports the department of Art and Design with in-curriculum careers delivery.

Chris Webb – An Employability Adviser at Sheffield Hallam University, Chris supports the Gradvantage programme for final year students and graduates, as well as collaborating with the College of Business, Technology and Engineering on in-curriculum careers delivery.

 

Our Guests:

Claire Guy – A Career Consultant at the University of Exeter, based within the Business School, Claire’s role focuses mostly on working with postgraduates. Claire is also co-chair of the AGCAS Curriculum Design Group.

Matthew Howard – Matthew leads on the employability provision for undergraduates across Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). He is responsible for the development of in-curriculum careers education and the digitalisation of the service. He manages a team of specialist Career Coaches who support caseloads of students via 1-1 advice and guidance.  

Alongside this, Matthew oversees the LUMS Employer Engagement and Events function. This team liaises with employers and alumni to create experiential learning opportunities, build partnerships and deliver impactful careers fairs, workshops, networking events and curriculum based activity.

Matthew is also a member of the AGCAS Employer Engagement Task Group.

Becci Hubbard – Becci is responsible for co-managing a team of Careers Consultants. She is also responsible for overseeing NTU’s ‘Future You’ graduate support offer. The scheme encourages final years to sign up for support prior to graduation, so they can access 1-1 coaching, online and NTU based events, and an exclusive internship scheme after they have left. She is also founder and Co-Chair of the newly formed AGCAS Curriculum Design task group who have recently launch a Curriculum Design Toolkit for Careers Practitioners. Prior to this role she has worked as Senior Careers Consultant (Curriculum Design and Project Management), Careers Consultant for Nottingham Business School and Confetti (Institute of Creative Technologies), and has a previous background in HE Outreach and Admissions.
