Job Title: Business Skills Trainer / Assessor

Location: West Midlands – Home/Field based

Salary: £25,500 – £29,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

For trainee candidates; this is a great opportunity to transition to a new and rewarding career within the training industry! Drawing on your wealth of experience within Management, to deliver vocational qualifications to learners working within Business Services.

Essential Criteria for all candidates:
The successful candidate must hold solid occupational experience within Team Leading / Management.
For unqualified Assessors; ideally hold experience of delivering internal training to staff, but this is not essential.
Ideally hold a recognised Assessor or Teaching qualification – full training will be provided for trainee assessor candidates.
Confident to deliver Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT – full training provided.
Must be confident to deliver online via MS Teams.
Excellent IT / Computer skills.
Must be double vaccinated (unless medically exempt) to visit learners within a Healthcare environment.
Full, clean, UK driving licence and use of a vehicle.
Must be flexible with travel.
Duties include:
Assess and support learners working towards Apprenticeships in Team Leading, Business Administration and Customer Service Apprenticeships up to Level 3 (New Standards), via a blended learning approach – (Online delivery and 60-70% face to face delivery).
Deliver training and support to learners undertaking Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT to level 2.
Conduct online and face to face observations learners to gather evidence towards their qualifications.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
Personal Skills:
Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focussed.
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
