Curriculum Lead – Flexible hours available

Prospect Training Services (PTS) is a highly experienced, innovative and responsive service provider of education and training for young people and adults.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an inspirational person to join our provision in the role of Curriculum Lead. We would happily consider part time hours around the commitments of the role. You will be the lead for teaching, learning and innovation across the Provision, having a strong understanding of the quality of delivery across the breadth of our educational offer. You will ensure our delivery team is equipped and ready for inspection.

The Curriculum Lead will oversee the youth curriculum ensuring a high quality, efficient and compliant provision. You will be the key point of liaison between the delivery team and the management team, contributing to the overall achievement, outcomes, and success of the curriculum within the provision. You will act as a tutor mentor to support the above.

You will ideally be a qualified teacher with delivery experience and you will have a robust track record of leading on Teaching, Learning & Innovation within a post-16 educational environment with demonstrable experience of delivering excellence and maximising opportunities for success.

As a strong strategic thinker, you will demonstrate the ability to deliver on our key objectives while inspiring others through high level communication, engagement and partnership skills.

You will have an excellent understanding of Further Education guidance in line with the Ofsted Framework and will be a champion of change and development with the key aim to enhance the learner experience.
You will possess a communication and mentoring style that motivates and inspires others to achieve outstanding results and fosters team building skills.

Specification – Essential Skills, experience and qualifications
• Higher education qualification or equivalent vocational experience.
• Experience of working in an educational setting with teaching experience a must. You will ideally hold a teaching qualification.
• The ability to plan, schedule and manage multiple priorities and deadlines and to remain calm under pressure.
• Good communication: communicates with clarity, confidence and gravitas at all levels; adapts style and content to the needs of the audience.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills and the ability to influence others over whom there is no formal authority to take particular courses of action.
• Use and application of IT in an operational or academic context and a commitment to developing existing skills. For example, Excel, Word, Databases and the Web.
• Knowledge of issues relevant to Further Education
• Ability to interpret policy and procedures and to disseminate information
• Ability to anticipate and analyse problems and bring forward workable solutions
• Ability to work co-operatively and effectively in a variety of team environments and evidence of the ability to influence and motivate staff
• Ability to introduce and assimilate ideas for change, assess their feasibility and take responsibility for their implementation.

Our ideal candidate will be fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.

Salary: Salary commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications plus pension and healthcare. Up to £28,000 per annum and we will consider applications for part time working too (on a pro-rata salary basis).
