The Role

Responsible to the Head of School, Technical Studies ­­­­­­­­you will facilitate teaching support to enable effective delivery of the Motor Vehicle curriculum within the Motor Vehicle area. You will be expected to provide day-to-day co-ordination of the workshop, technical and teaching facilities by working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students. You will require an up to date knowledge of the Motor Vehicle sector and be able to co-ordinate resource usage efficiently to deliver the curriculum.You will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining resources within the area.

What we are looking for

You will have solid practical experience of working in the Motor Vehicle industry and significant knowledge of the sector. With the ability to maintain the full range of typical equipment used in Motor Vehicle Services, including fault-finding and repairing equipment (as appropriate). A level 2 motor vehicle qualification is desirable.

Knowledge of health and safety issues within the Motor Vehicle services environment and commitment to ensuring that the highest standards of Health & Safety are adhered to is essential as is the ability to work on your own initiative as part of a team.
