Salary – £46,014 – £47,598
Location – Across all college sites (Altrincham, Stretford, Cheadle, Stockport and Marple)
The Trafford College Group (TCG) has an opportunity for an experienced and innovative Programme Leader for Computing and Digital Technology to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

With a strong emphasis on preparing our students for the ever-evolving digital world, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Leader for our Computing curriculum, with a particular focus on digital innovation.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring individual to support with the development of our Computing curriculum. You will be an exceptional classroom teacher who demonstrates high standards of delivery in a consistent manner, who is committed to improving achievement across all key stages and who understands the strategies required to accomplish this. You must be a strong leader with the ability to inspire both staff and students. You will be enthusiastic, have a winning personality and have an imaginative approach to the delivery of the curriculum area.
This is a varied role, leading on curriculum across our Computing provision from which includes levels 1-3 vocational curriculum, T-Levels, adult courses, digital apprenticeships, and a higher education offer featuring the new Higher National HTQ curriculum framework and an honours degree in cyber, software and networking.
The ideal candidate for this role would be an experienced curriculum manager who is able to manage a team of staff, have responsibility for the quality of the provision and outcomes for students and stay up to date with curriculum changes to ensure our curriculum meets the needs of employers. This role will include some teaching on this provision, although generous remission is given to undertake those duties expected of a programme leader.
As a Programme Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Computing, Digital, and IT curriculum. You will work collaboratively with industry partners to ensure that our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the digital age. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and make a lasting impact on the next generation of digital leaders.
A key part of the role will be to stay abreast of emerging technologies and pedagogical approaches in the field of Computing and digital technologies and how these industries support the local skills needs.
About you:
A relevant degree in computing or in a related field.
Substantial experience in teaching within the field of IT, Computing and digital curriculum.
Have strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellent teaching and learning opportunities for our students
A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying at the forefront of educational and technological advancements.
Strong knowledge of digital innovation trends and technologies.
