Job Title: Qualification Developer (2 Roles)

Location: Home/Field and centre based – with travel for client visits and other company centres, meetings or events in the UK as required (may involve overnights stays)

Salary/Package: up to £45,000 dependent upon role + Excellent Benefits Package comprising of a generous holiday entitlement, contributory pension scheme, various employee perks, insurances + more!

Type: 35 hours Monday to Friday, Permanent (The role requires flexibility with some out of hours work which does also include weekends)

KM are excited to be recruiting for 2 roles; a Qualification Development Manager (salary up to £45,000) and a Junior Qualification Developer (salary up to £35,000)

Qualification Development Manager (salary up to £45,000)

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrable experience and success within Qualification Development.
A strong, working knowledge of learning and development and/or the building of career pathways.
Knowledge of UK qualification regulatory requirements
Experience of negotiating commercial and contractual terms.
Experience within project management as a product owner – within Agile or Prince2 environments.
Experience of developing and assessing the attainability of business cases, budgets and plans.
Demonstrable understanding of design, development, operational concepts and principles.
Experience of managing and coaching a small team.
Overview of duties:

Work in collaboration with the Senior Product Manager, to support the creation and build of leading product portfolios.
Regularly review the commercial viability of the existing product group to ensure growth opportunities are maximised within the marketplace.
Conduct research based on customer needs to aid in the development of new products and services that will enable the portfolio to grow.
Develop business cases for development activity for new or existing products; assess them for commercial viability and decide which developments to recommend for forward action.
Support, coach, mentor and manage a small team to ensure that the approach to workloads and development is fair and consistent.
Work closely with all departments to ensure successful product development and launch to market.
Create monthly reports based on product performance.
Management of all costs associated within the practice area; setting relevant prices to ensure desired income and margin objectives are met.
Creation of business cases for development activity for both new and existing students.
Negotiate and maintain contracts to achieve suitable margins and profitability .
Manage all product marketing elements (e.g. customer focus, pricing, packaging, prioritisation and sales enablement).
Junior Qualification Developer (salary up to £35,000)

Essential Criteria:

Experience of design and development of sophisticated products across various environments
Possess a good level of technical understanding through previous work experience with education and assessment development teams
Good understanding of design, development, operational concepts and principles
Experience of applying learning principles
Knowledge of UK qualification regulatory requirements
Good computer skills and digital I.T working experience

Overview of duties:

Work in collaboration, to support the creation and build of leading product portfolios.
Ensure product vision is communicated and articulated accurately.
You will maintain knowledge and awareness of the market and competition, together with the needs and wants of the customer base, in order to maintain competitiveness.
Refine and improve product development through customer data research, utilising feedback to action improvements and meet customer needs
Seek out new opportunities and continue to shape product vision and strategy
Carry out and take part in meetings to help manage and guide the development process
Closely work with the development team to ensure product brief and specification is understood and stays within set budget and timescales
Support development and delivery through working with SME’s
Create marketing materials and product content
