Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Engineering Senior Lecturer to join our academic team (college) and support the Curriculum Manager. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education. This position requires strong people skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching sessions and practical sessions on engineering topics.
• Develop and update course materials to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards.
• Mentor and support students in their academic pursuits, providing guidance on projects and assessments.
• Conduct research in the field of engineering, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and promote interdisciplinary learning.
• Participate in departmental meetings and other administrative duties as required.
• Maintain an organised approach to teaching.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Engineering or a closely related field (Minimum Level 3) – Essential
• Teaching Qualification or be willing to work towards – Desirable
• Maths and English – Level 2 or equivalent – Essential
• Experience in some areas such as CNC, PLC, CAD, Robotics, Machinist, Electrical, welding
• A passion for teaching and a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in IT tools and platforms used for educational purposes.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, fostering a positive learning environment for students.
• A passion for educating others and a commitment to student success.

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
