Find out moreAnybody working in the awarding and assessment sector can become an Affiliate of the Awarding and Assessment Academy from the first day of their employment. It is anticipated that Affiliates may be at a very early stage in their awarding and assessment career. Affiliates may hold roles providing support to, for example, qualification development, quality assurance, assessment functions etc.
Roles will vary depending on the organisation but are focussed on supporting the team, prioritising work and ensuring that work is undertaken efficiently and effectively. Job titles might include Qualifications Executive, Operations Executive, Administrator.

Next steps & apply nowAssociate Fellows of the Awarding and Assessment Academy are individuals with at least one year’s experience of working in a sector role that includes responsibility for looking after a discrete business area, qualification(s) or EPA(s)/product(s)/service and/or line management.
It is anticipated that Associate Fellows have established some knowledge, skills and experience and are looking to build their career in the awarding and assessment sector. Job titles might include Qualifications/Product Manager, Quality Assurance Officer, EPA Manager, Project Manager, Team Leader, Assessor, Moderator.

Next steps & apply nowAssociate Fellows (Advanced) of the Awarding and Assessment Academy are advanced practitioners with at least three years’ experience in a role that requires responsibility for looking after a substantial business area, suite of qualifications, EPAs, products or services. It is likely to also include management of a team.
Associate Fellows (Advanced) must be able to demonstrate consistently high-quality practice and will be considered a technical expert in their field. Job titles might include Operations Team Manager, Head of Product Development, Head of EPA, Senior Quality Assurance Manager.

Fellows will hold senior strategic roles within the awarding and assessment sector to communicate and drive organisational change. They will hold a significant amount of responsibility within their organisations as the Responsible Officer or at director level.
Fellows will have at least six years’ experience in the awarding and assessment sector. Job titles might include Chief Operating Officer, EPA Director, Awarding Director, Managing Director, Chief Executive, Responsible Officer.
