North Kent College’s Miskin Theatre’s “Jack Frost” spreads Christmas Cheer amongst London’s homeless

North Kent College’s Miskin Theatre students recently put on an amazing Christmas Show ‘Jack Frost’. The show raised a staggering £1200 from ticket sales with a further £500 being raised from charity bucket donations.  

Life Changing Trip To South Africa for North Kent College Students

North Kent College welcomed home a lucky group of students and accompanying tutor, from their week long life changing trip in South Africa, courtesy of Mark Lindop, who again has sponsored three students, to participate in an incredible experience with Mellon Educate on “Build Blitz”. Every year, Mellon Educate organises their now renowned “Building Blitz” trip to Africa for volunteers from all over the world to travel and lend a helping hand building better infrastructure in poor African communities. 

Coveted “Academy of the Year” award goes to North Kent College

North Kent College have been selected to win the coveted award of “Lee Stafford Academy of the Year”. They were chosen for this award because of the all-round commitment and performance demonstrated over the last 12 months which included students taking trophies in 3 out of the 4 categories at the LSE annual competition, driving growth in apprenticeship numbers and full-time college numbers at both the Dartford and Gravesend Campuses and the commitment of college trainers to reach the highest standards in their delivery. 

NKC Culinary Academy and Hospitality & Events Management students experience working life

On Tuesday 12th November, students from the North Kent College Culinary Academy at Gravesend campus, were fortunate to have General Manager Daniel Sharpe and Sales Manager Alicia Murton from the Holiday Inn Bexley present a workshop on working in hospitality and catering.

Gruesome Showtime For North Kent College’s Miskin Actors

North Kent College’s Miskin actors and Miskin theatrical make-up students recently took part part in the Halloween version of ‘The Woman in Black’ show at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford. Make-Up students transformed Miskin actors into various characters from the show, they then walked around the auditorium, inside and outside of the theatre, to wow the audience with an immersive interactive experience before the main show commenced.
