Work progresses on new Oaklands College Teaching Block

Work is well underway on the second phase of redevelopment of @oaklandscollege’s Smallford campus in St Albans. Supported by a £2.5m Local Growth Fund investment from Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Phase 2 will deliver a brand-new teaching block, called the Evolution Centre, comprising 49 new classrooms, offices for curriculum staff, and facilities to house Pathway 4 special needs provision.

UCSA celebrate launch of new part-time degree at Oaklands College

The University of Hertfordshire and Oakland College, through its joint venture as University Campus St Albans (UCSA), celebrated the launch of a new accelerated part-time Business Management and Innovation degree last week. The new Business Management and Innovation degree requires just over two years of dedicated study and has been designed specifically for people already either in or seeking to return to work. At the launch, David Clarke spoke about the importance of business being innovative, customer-focused and having the right staff in place. David is well known for both his business and football successes. David has developed a highly successful career in the banking sector spanning 21 years and an International Football career which has seen him represent Great Britain and England’s blind football team 144 times, scoring a total of 128 goals.
