A trio of talented chefs from the @COLCollege came out on top in the thrilling conclusion in the Live Grand Final of the @countryrangeuk Student Chef Challenge 2019/2020, which is run in conjunction with the Craft Guild of Chefs and took place at the Hospitality, Restaurant and Catering Show (HRC) on March 3rd.
The semi-finals for this year’s prestigious Country Range Student Chef Challenge, which is run in collaboration with the Craft Guild of Chefs, took place on Friday 24th January at Loughborough College and Thursday 6th February at the City of Glasgow College with 10 teams progressing to the Live Grand Final at the Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HRC) Show, Excel London on March 3rd 2020 .
Following a very competitive paper judging stage, fourteen college teams have been announced as semi-finalists for the Country Range Student Chef Challenge 2019/2020, chaired by Head Judge Chris Basten.
The 2018/19 Country Range Student Chef Challenge winners - Alan Coats, Ance Kristone and Andreau Talla - got a taste of what it’s like to be at the top of the culinary game after experiencing an exclusive dinner at Nucleus - a private room inside Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham.
With the deadline for entries rapidly approaching on the 30th November, Country Range Brand Manager Vasita Jantabutara has issued a final call to student chefs and college lecturers looking to enter a team into this year’s prestigious competition, which is run in collaboration with the Craft Guild of Chefs.
