From criminal science to agricultural science, Alicja’s sowing the seeds for career success

@BordersCollege Agriculture student Alicja Blaz was featured in a recent National Farmers Union Scotland (@NFUStweets) publication after securing an apprenticeship with George Brown and Son's Farm, based in East Lothian.   Alicja, from Ormiston, East Lothian, took on the Modern Apprenticeship role when she embarked on a complete career change, having previously studied an undergraduate degree in Criminology and Psychology from the Open University and later a master's degree in Public Policy at Stirling University.

Lauren and Siobhan share their Foundation Apprenticeship success stories

Former Galashiels Academy (@Gala_Academy) pupils, Siobhan and Lauren Call, completed their Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF (@SCQFPartnership) level 6, completing in May 2021. Lauren and Siobhan were part of a group of six foundation apprentices from Secondary Schools throughout the Scottish Borders.

Minister’s STEM Visit Success at Borders College Hawick Campus

Jamie Hepburn (@jamiehepburn), MSP, Minister for Higher Education and Further Education, Youth Employment and Training was in Hawick recently, to hear from Borders (@BordersCollege) business owners and students who are benefitting from the training and development services provided by Borders College in renewable technologies and sustainable construction.
