Havant & South Downs College presents project-based learning to Hong Kong teachers

@Be_HSDC has been funded to work with vocational teachers in Hong Kong to develop their digital collaborative approach to project-based learning. On Friday 25 September, HSDC Teaching and Learning Coaches Dom Thompson and Martin Hoskin took the first step in the project by hosting a live webinar to over 100 lecturers in Hong Kong to discuss how HSDC teachers make assignments real for students, encourage innovation and teamwork and use Google to enable this to be done online if and when necessary.

HSDC to receive £1.3 million to redevelop the College’s buildings

£1.3 million capital funding allocated to @Be_HSDC  Having just completed renovation of a portion of its South Downs campus for the introduction of this autumn’s T Level provision, HSDC students are set to benefit additionally through £1.3 million of government funding.

Havant & South Downs College wins Education and Training Foundation tender

HSDC (@Be_HSDC) is excited to announce that it will run the South East region component of the national Education and Training Foundation (@E_T_Foundation) Practice Development Group (PDG) programme. This component of the programme will be managed by HSDC staff members Dom Thompson and David Galloway and aims to promote practitioner-led, collaborative professional development across the Further Education and Training sector.
