At Ufi (@UfiTrust), we welcome the plans outlined in the long-awaited Skills for Jobs white paper, published on 21st January 2021 by the Department for Education. Our mission at Ufi is to champion the power of technology to improve skills for work, and we will continue to advocate for the role of quality digital technology to help enable each area outlined in the white paper;
London-based soft skills training platform BODYSWAPS (@BODYSWAPS_VR) has secured a £150,000 investment from @UfiVentures to continue developing its immersive learning modules and tools. Alongside funding from Ufi Ventures, which invests in early-stage companies developing vocational technologies, BODYSWAPS has also secured investment from Haatch Ventures and DMoonshot.
Following on from the Prime Minister’s comments on the need to improve vocational education provision in the UK and plans for the forthcoming Autumn Education White Paper and a speech next week on the same, there’s a timely opportunity to revisit an article written by Ufi’s CEO, Rebecca Garrod-Waters, back in 2018 (21 August).
