Governors and staff of @StanmoreCollege are celebrating being awarded significant investment, as part of the government’s landmark new scheme, to refurbish the Stanmore campus. Boris Johnson launched the fund to rebuild and transform colleges, and thus create modern, fit-for-purpose estates. Stanmore College, based in north-west London, features prominently in the list of 16 colleges targeted nationwide.

Staff of @StanmoreCollege loaded their mini bus with food and toiletries this week, amid bright sunshine, for a trip to the community foodbank depot in Harrow.

@StanmoreCollege has played a key role in ensuring that all staff have the necessary equipment and latest technology to prevent any gaps in learning for students. Teachers and support staff were all supplied with laptops that had preloaded software enabling them to access drives, resources and software applications. MS Teams was up and running for immediate communication and online classes with students, who are all given Office 365 on joining the College.

The Worshipful, The Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Nitin Parekh, visited Stanmore College on Thursday, 20th June to congratulate the Business students on their excellent work and impressive achievements. The Mayor commended the students and informed them that his own background had been in finance; having had experience of business he was delighted to hear how well the Business study programme was doing at Stanmore College and noted the great results students were achieving.
