From education to employment

OneFile voted regional finalist for Apprenticeship Employer of the Year

OneFile has been voted North West finalist for Apprenticeship Employer of Year. Their flagship eportfolio helps apprentices achieve better results in a shorter timeframe and cuts costs for centres across the country.

But beyond their software, OneFile supports apprentices in-house too – giving both employees and newcomers the opportunity to progress within the organisation. After hiring their first two apprentices in 2012, OneFile has since employed 11 more to support their growth. Each learner is given a mentor to help them with their qualification, encourage them to learn new skills and monitor their progress during monthly one-on-ones.

The result? It’s been an overwhelming success with 100% timely completions, 92% of apprentices continuing with the company, and 87% securing further promotions as team leaders, software testers and sales personnel.

‘My apprenticeship has had a huge impact on both my personal and working life, I’m loving it. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to earn money, experience the workplace and wants to achieve, progress and excel.’

Aaron Longbottom – Technical Support Advisor, OneFile

Apprentices are invaluable to OneFile as a business too. As well as helping staff accelerate towards their career goals, apprenticeships boost productivity across the company – from generating direct revenue to creating a culture of progression. At OneFile, each learner is hugely valuable from the very beginning, and a fully efficient member of the team during their year-long qualification.

The numbers speak for themselves. OneFile’s latest sales apprentice delivered £124k of direct revenue in year one, compared to £80k before their qualification. Another business administration apprentice completed all sales paperwork supporting over £240k of revenue and achieved a post contact customer service rating KPI of 4.6 out of 5.

As an advocate to the entire vocational sector, founder and director of OneFile, Susanna Lawson has a strong relationship with individuals at every stage of the learning journey. It would be a huge personal achievement for her – and fantastic opportunity for OneFile as a whole – to be crowned official Ambassadors for Apprenticeships.

OneFile is the UK’s leading eportfolio in the learning and development sector. Using the latest innovations in paperless technology, their innovative software supports the complete learning journey – from early years development to professional progression – bringing learning to life every step of the way.
