Students’ tea caddy designs shortlisted in national competition

Two talented art students at Cambridge Regional College have reached the final of a competition to find two signature tea caddy designs for High Street company Whittard.

Sasha Marinelli and Vicki Crimes have had their designs shortlisted from over 100 entries, with the public invited to vote for the two winning creations on the theme of “A Very Autumnal Halloween”.

Sasha’s design for Pumpkin Spice tea, and Vicki’s Toffee Apple fruit infusion design are in the final 10 of the competition, with the winning designs due to appear in stores in September.

Whittard said: “We received over 100 beautiful entries to this year’s Design-a-Caddy competition and after much debate we have shortlisted 10 designs. So now we are handing the final decision making over to the public.”

The winners will have their personally-designed caddy featured in Whittard stores across the country and win a tea hamper worth over £100, plus a copy of their winning caddy.

The designs with the most votes will make it into production – one Toffee Apple and one Pumpkin Spice design. Voting closes on 19 February – to vote, fo to: https://business.facebook.com/whittardofchelsea/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10155111058787642.
