From education to employment

Partnership that will deliver Recruitment Solutions for Education Sector

JGR Group and NPTC Group of Colleges are joining forces to form a unique partnership that will deliver recruitment solutions for the education sector.

Their combined experience and knowledge will see the formation of JGR Educate which will focus on getting the right people into the right roles. JGR Educate will provide staff to further education colleges, schools, universities and training providers on a temporary, supply, or a permanent basis. The Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) will make use of all the tried and tested systems and operations that have seen JGR Group remain a leader of the local recruitment industry for so many years.

The combination of JGR Group’s recruiting expertise, service levels and professionalism with NPTC Group of Colleges’ knowledge, ambition and commercial awareness will make it an ideal partnership.

In April 2016, Hayley Phillips and Daniel Edwards took over JGR Group in Bridgend and Neath, which has been established for nearly 50 years and has an enviable reputation for quality, reliable recruitment and training services throughout Wales.

Hayley and Daniel have a combined experience of 30 years in the recruitment industry, most of which as recruiters within JGR Group. The pair have worked closely with the College for many years, and, as the new owners of JGR, they were keen to explore the idea of an exciting new partnership venture.

Mark Dacey, Principal and CEO of NPTC Group of Colleges said: “Far too often the education sector appoint teachers, assessors and instructors on short-term hourly paid contracts, because each provider may only require a limited number of hours available. This venture will allow JGR Educate to place people with various education providers, extending the number of hours available to individuals over a wider range of providers, providing a more stable employment opportunity. JGR Educate will also make sure that staff registered have undergone the DBS check and are registered with the Education Workforce Council. This ensures that there are also no delays in appointing specialist staff to provide cover, where there are short-term requirements. This will provide a far better service to students in the education and training sectors”

Hayley Phillips, JGR Group Director, said: “Working with our colleagues at NPTC Group of Colleges, we identified a gap in the market for a supplier of education staff. The JGR Educate partnership fills that gap. Together, we can provide an exceptional customer service and share values that are mutually beneficial to the candidates and the clients.”

Daniel Edwards, Director at JGR Group, added: “This is a forward-thinking venture that we are really excited about. It makes perfect sense to bring the strengths of our organisations together to find a solution for staffing the education industry. We have a great relationship with NPTC Group of Colleges already and look forward to the official partnership going from strength to strength.”
