NatWest Boost Bus Giving Students Top Business Tips

The NatWest Boost Bus was in Hastings earlier this week to offer budding entrepreneurs support and guidance about starting and running a small business.

After the success of the 2016 tour, the bus was on the road again in 2017 and stopped out Sussex Coast College Hastings Station Plaza campus on Wednesday 26th April. Members of the public and students were able to climb on board and ask business experts for advice and top tips on starting and running a business.

Advice and guidance was free and impartial and Sussex Coast College student, Rhys Hodd was really impressed with what he found out.

Rhys, a 2nd year Business student said: “It was a really informative and useful way to spend the morning. In class, we learn a lot of theory about managing and starting a business, but the experts gave us a really good insight into what is like to run a business in reality.

I have always thought about starting my own business and will definitely take on board the advice we were given this morning; making sure I’ve got a good network of people around me to support my business idea, test the market before committing to my business plan, and making sure that I start something that I am passionate about.”

The Let’s Do Business Group were able to work with NatWest to bring the bus to Hastings, celebrating entrepreneurial communities across the town and local area, helping to connect and inspire individuals to turn their business ideas into reality.
