Leeds City College hosts biggest GCSE party

On GSCE results day, 24 August, Leeds City College is hosting the biggest GCSE party in the region to celebrate exam results.

Open to anyone aged 14+, Party @ The Printworks will coincide with the official launch of the college’s final phase of the newly regenerated Printworks Campus on Hunslet Road.

The party, taking place between 12 noon and 4pm, is free to attend and will include fun fair rides, entertainment, bands, an American style diner, food stalls and an opportunity for students to enrol.

The celebrations will continue the next day, when Capital Yorkshire take over the new print-hall for their first ever outside broadcast. Adam and Jojo from the breakfast show will be on air live from the campus, with an exclusive performance by last year’s X Factor finalists, 5 After Midnight.

Kate Couzens, Admissions Manager at Leeds City College, said: “Exam season is a stressful time for students who have put a lot of hard work and determination into their studies.

“This event aims to celebrate and reward GCSE students and emphasise the importance that there is always an opportunity for everyone to succeed regardless of their results.

“There will also be staff on-hand throughout the day to speak to anyone who is worried or would like support and advice for their next steps. We look forward to seeing as many students as possible!”
