National recognition for Motorsports College

National Award for NC4M

The National College for Motorsport (NC4M) has been recognised by the motor racing industry with a prestigious award from the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA).

Representatives from the world of motor racing world gathered at the MIA Business Excellence Award in January, held to recognise outstanding achievements within the industry.

The National College for Motorsport was awarded the MIA Service to Industry Award for their exceptional performance in training and guiding young people into race mechanics apprenticeships.

Motorsport Apprenticeship Assessor Chris Weller accepted the award on behalf of the NC4M:

“We are extremely proud to receive this award, the MIA represents all aspects of the industry at the highest level so it is especially nice for them to recognise our work.

“The majority of our students go onto work within the industry, some working in Formula One and in teams based all over the world.  We provide specialist training and the feedback we receive from the industry is that we get it right, they want to employ our students.”

The National College for Motorsport is part of Tresham College and The Bedford College Group.  Based in Silverstone the NC4M provides specialist training for students aged 16+.
