Latest FE Jobs:

New data from the UK’s leading independent job site, CV-Library, has found that education jobs were some of the most searched for by candidates last month. The data, which analysed over 55 million sessions on CV-Library’s site in January 2018, found that the top 10 most searched industries include:

    1. Construction – 779,179 searches
    2. Engineering – 660,858 searches
    3. Administration – 490,741 searches
    4. Manufacturing – 342,882 searches
    5. Driving – 321,069 searches
    6. Education – 244,342 searches
    7. Finance – 212,880 searches
    8. Social Care – 203,262 searches
    9. Sales – 198,928 searches
    10. Customer Service – 197,071 searches

Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of CV-Library, comments: “While employment in the UK is at a record high, it’s clear from our data that professionals are open to looking for new opportunities right now. January is a popular time for schools to start advertising their vacancies, so it’s no wonder that workers within education are curious about what’s currently on offer.”

The news follows recent data from CV-Library, which revealed a staggering 59% increase in applications for education roles in January 2018. At the same time, jobs in education grew by 31.1% during this period, suggesting there is plenty for job hunters to choose from.

Biggins continues: It’s positive to see that candidate appetite is strong across the education sector. It was reported only recently that schools across England are in crisis because the DfE is not taking action to tackle teacher shortages. In order for the industry to thrive in 2018, the government must take a proactive approach to encouraging more people into the profession and work closely with institutions to ensure there is a steady pipeline of talent.”
