SAAF Education launches new supply teaching service

Sean Kelly, Director, SAAF Education

SAAF Education, a financial management and business support provider for the education sector, has launched a new supply teaching service – SAAF Supply.

SAAF’s directors have over 50 years combined experience working in the education sector and have built strong partnerships with 200+ schools across the UK. SAAF’s supply arm is led by Nottingham-based serving executive headteacher, Sean Kelly.

SAAF Supply connects supply teachers and support staff to roles that suit their requirements, and schools, academies and multi-academy trusts (MATs) to high quality support staff and teaching specialists.

Sean Kelly, SAAF Supply’s director, said:

“As an acting executive headteacher I understand that there is a dwindling pool of quality teachers, a rising dependency on recruitment agencies and subsequent high costs that schools face when it comes to recruitment and ensuring teaching staff are of a high calibre.

“This is why we’ve created SAAF Supply – which aims to change attitudes towards supply teachers, by providing schools with teachers that love to teach.

“We’re actively searching for new teachers to join our team. And successful applicants will be able to take part in our extensive CPD programme, annual workshops and networking hub.

“In addition, we have a thorough interview and vetting process that goes beyond the legal requirement, to give schools, academies and MATs complete confidence in our network of supply professionals.

“This includes us conducting face to face interviews, extensive background and identity checks, collating business references, conducting DBS and barred list checks, ensuring professionals have safeguarding knowledge and briefing teachers and support staff on your school before they attend.”
