Coleg Gwent has partnered with CAF Rolling Stock UK Limited to host a Meet the Employer event at its City of Newport Campus.

Due to the severe weather last week, this will now be held on Monday 19th March, from 12pm until 6.30pm at Coleg Gwent’s Newport City Campus Main Hall.

CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) is a Spanish company in the rail sector which  designs, manufactures, supplies and undertakes maintenance of equipment and components for railway systems.

The event will give students and jobseekers the opportunity to learn about the jobs being created at CAF’s state-of-the-art assembly hub. During the day there will be hourly presentations by Graham Taylor, CAF Rolling Stock UK Limited’s Chief Operations Officer and there will also be the opportunity to meet other members of the CAF recruitment team.

The assembly hub will open summer 2018 in the Celtic Business Park in Llanwern, Newport and will create 300 new roles. CAF is looking for team members to work as Purchasing Assistants, Testing and Commissioning Engineers, Testing and Commissioning Technicians; Testing Team Leaders; Quality Specialists and Technicians; Production Team Leaders; Production Control Co-ordinator and Production Operatives.

CAF will also be looking to fill roles including Plant Manager; Production Line Manager; Training and Competency Manager; QHSE Manager; Factory Completion Manager; Project Buyer, Financial Controller, Logistics Specialists, and Payroll and Administrative Assistants.
