WCG welcomes South African official from Capricorn College

WCG welcomed special guest  Acting Principal Amos Thema from Capricorn College TVET in Polokwane, South Africa on 26 February for a week long visit to several colleges within the WCG Group in Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

The visit was part of a Senior Leadership Team Exchange programme, an initiative funded by the British Council and the South African Department of Higher Education and Training. It’s aim is to enable colleges to meet together, exchange ideas and develop a long lasting partnership that brings mutual benefits to both countries.

During his time with WCG, Amos was interested in learning about the organisation’s approach to curriculum development and quality management, as well as shared knowledge and developments within employer partnerships with local and national businesses.

As part of the visit, Amos was also invited to a tour by Steve West, Head of Department Work Based Learning JLR Apprenticeship Programmes at the Jaguar Land Rover Plant in Whitley, Coventry.
