From education to employment

Businesses wanted to offer work experience opportunities

Barnsley College is seeking help from local businesses who would be able to offer a work experience opportunity to its students.

Many College students are actively searching for a work experience opportunity so they can gain a real understanding of the working environment. The length and regularity of a work experience or work placement is flexible depending on the employer’s requirements and to ensure both the employer and the student’s needs are met. Placements are needed in all industries and all areas of work.

Daniel Stanbra, Assistant Principal for 14-19 Students, said: “We’re reaching out to the business community to ask if they are able to offer a work experience opportunity to our students.

“Offering these opportunities provides businesses with a number of benefits including bringing new ideas and allowing you to grow your own talent as you can select students you may wish to offer future employment opportunities to. This is your opportunity to inspire and guide a student whilst helping to shape the future workforce.”
