From education to employment

From Brecon to Brussels

Business Studies and ICT students from our Brecon Beacons and Neath Colleges have returned to rural Wales following an educational visit to Brussels.

Students took the scenic route to the Belgian capital, travelling by coach and Eurostar before spending three days in the city.

The trip was partially sponsored by Labour MEP for Wales, Derek Vaughan, who spent a morning with the group. He discussed his role as an MEP and hosted a question and answer session before the group enjoyed a tour of the European Parliament building and debating chambers.

Students explored the city further, visiting a brewery and chocolate factory before heading home.

This isn’t the first time that students have been able to go the extra mile to further their education. For example, previous trips our College students have embarked on include the USA, Mongolia, and even sunny Spain!
