From education to employment

Top employers give valuable advice to students

Top employers from across Greater Manchester visited Clarendon Sixth Form College recently to chat to A-level and creative studies students about their careers.

Staff from Tameside NHS Trust, Tameside Reporter, Bromley’s Solicitors, Key103 and over 20 other organisations set up shop at the college during a ‘careers networking’ event.

By meeting the professionals face-to-face, the students found out about career progression routes and building a network of useful contacts.

Charlotte Rowe, a management consultant at KPMG who attended the event to talk to students, said:

“The career networking event was great. it was lovely to meet so many students who were interested in what’s on offer here at KPMG. It’s a great way for them find out about career routes and to speak to those they wouldn’t normally get chance to.”

The careers networking event is part of a series of activities to help raise awareness of potential careers for college students.
